Babies grow up in the most interesting ways...

Found on the white board that sits in the hallway, in the 6-year-old's handwriting:
I +. am +. proud +. of +. the +. Good +. news +. because +. it +. is +. the +. wer +. God +. uses +. to +. save +. who +. belives.
Mom: Wow 6, did you write this?
6: Uh huh.
Mom: Where'd you learn that?
6: In sunday school.
Mom: Wow, that's great...

Mom: what are these little marks?
6: Space marks, so that I leave enough space between the words.
Mom: Oh, I see... I really like that you spelled the word "because" correctly! Where'd you learn to spell that?
6: Oh, I learned that in school...

a few moments of quiet, as Mom & 6 ponder the writing...
Mom: (pointing to "wer") What's this word?
6: (after thinking for a few moments and reading through the sentence a couple of times) Wer... Wer... Oh! That's supposed to be "power", I must have accidently erased the "p" (quickly inserts "p", making "pwer").
Mom: This is really great work, 6, I'm impressed that you remembered all this.
6: Thanks, mom!

a few minutes later...
Mom: 6, do you know what the "good news" is?
6: (with a quizical expression on her face and a shake of her head) No...
